Italian culture workshop
The Italian culture workshop presented the fascinating world of Italian myths, mysteries and legends. Yes, because Italy is not only a country full of history, delicious food and beautiful landscapes, but also one of the most mysterious countries in the world. In this occasion, together with our Italian volunteer Alessia Rizzato, we were able to discover some of the most popular folk stories, mysteries, legends and oral traditions hidden within the secret corners of the cities and the regions of "the BOOT", and that are considered as an essential part of the Italian artistic and cultural heritage.

What is the mysterious story of the famous giants's graves of Sardinia? Who is the BABAU? Is the monster that hides in the lake Garda still alive? These are only a few of the many questions that were revealed to us...Aren't you curious?

Since this topic could be “boring” to learn these mysteries and legends, participants were involved in a game. A map of Italy was created and divided in its 20 regions. Each region was hidden by a paper with a number and for each region we discovered a legend or a particular history link to one of these cities or places. To choose the region we would talk about participants had to pick up a card that in the back side had a number (that is the number of the region) and an image, that was an image that represented the legend, and that they had to stick on the map in the corresponding region. All the mysteries and legends were illustrated and explained through a power-point presentation.
